Hello!
I’m Olivia Matreja (she/her), a counsellor and fellow soul on this messy, magical journey of being human. Based in Sydney, I work with people who are looking for something more than a clinical, tick-the-box counselling session. With me, you’ll find a space that feels safe, real and alive - a mix of warm hug, honest conversation, and gentle encouragement to find your own strengths.
With Indian and English heritage, I’ve grown up immersed in Eastern and Western ways of seeing the world. This has given me a unique, holistic approach to healing, where mind, body AND spirit are all honoured. I draw on a blend of psychology, spirituality, and wisdom, always keeping it real and human.
I believe deeply in the magic of talk therapy. The simple act of being truly seen and heard by another can soothe wounds in ways nothing else can. I see counselling as a nurturing space where you can gently revisit difficult memories, guided with care, while we seek out the strengths and wisdom those experiences have gifted you.
Our sessions might involve tears, laughter, or quiet reflection. They may bring lightness, clarity, or a sense of calm where chaos once lived. However it unfolds, you’ll always find warmth, curiosity and care in the space we share.
For those who feel drawn to it, we can also weave in gentle spiritual practices, such as an oracle card reading where we ask for divine guidance. It’s never forced - simply an option to bring a little extra light into the process.
This work is bigger than the two of us. Every time someone lets go of an old hurt, speaks their truth, or remembers their worth, the ripple reaches far beyond their own life. It is my way of contributing to a kinder, more connected world. That’s also why I offer free resources, so support is never out of reach for those seeking it.
Most importantly, you don’t have to walk this path alone. I’ll be beside you, nurturing and present, until you can see clearly that everything you need has always lived within you.
The journey begins with one conversation. Let’s begin together ♥
Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of individuals, each with unique life experiences and challenges. My areas of interest include:
*I practice a neurodiversity-affirming approach and welcome clients with disability. I am LGBTQIA+ friendly and sex-worker friendly.
